~ Going to town in Azrou is sometimes a surreal experience. The amount of men outside compared to the amount of women is impressive. Sometimes we feel like we are the only women around so we decided to check the ratio of moroccan men versus women outside on a saturday afternoon.

Methodology:
~ We sat in a café in one of the main streets in Azrou, Morocco, and with our material, we spent exactly 1h looking at all the people passing by in the main street, on both sides, while noting down if they were female or male.

Conclusions:
~ Even though the biggest percentage of population outside is clearly male, we managed to see almost 1 woman for each 2 men passing by which was quite impressive considering that were expecting a much bigger difference.
Maybe the fact that we get so much male attention when we go out makes us feel like we are the only females around town when we fact they are quite a few walking around.
