~ Even though we live in a small muslim town in Morocco, we can occasionally see moroccan women without head scarf's passing by in the streets. Curious about this particularity we decided to check the percentage of women that wear the head traditionally covered with the head scarf versus the ones that show their hair freely.

Methodology:
~ We sat in a café in one of the main streets in Azrou, Morocco, and with our material, we spent exactly 1h looking at all the people passing by in the main street, on both sides, while noting down if the women were wearing a head scarf, a niqab or nothing at all.
Subject:
~ Every passing by female on foot either on our side of the street or in the opposite.
Material:
~ Two pieces of paper
~ Pen / pencil
Date and Time:
~ 26 June, 2010
~ From 16:18 to 17:18.

Conclusions:
~ Even though there's a vast majority of women wearing a head scarf, results have showed that there are a lot more women without head scarf's outside than we at first thought (my first guess would be around 10%).
We saw just one woman wearing a niqab but that wasn't a surprise; Even though we sometimes see them all covered outside, it's not a very common feature among the general population.
